I am home now. We went through the Chic-fli-A drive thru and got some chicken soup. (broth only) It was really good. I did sleep okay last night. My right jaw is still hurting a little. I have taken a ton of pain medicine. Not looking forward to it wearing off. Thanks to all you guys for the support. It was great when I could not talk or anything to see your post. I really appreciate it. I'll let you know tomorrow how day 4 is going, and I will be keeping up with you all daily. By the way, how are you doing V? I will check you blog. Blessings to all.
Glad to see you home! If you're bold enough, some pictures would be great to see. Did you find out from the surgeon about the details of your complications? How much of your jaw had to be shaved? No wonder you're in pain!
ReplyDeleteTake your pain meds and rest/nap as much as you can.
ReplyDeleteI seriously iced my jaw/cheeks for the first 7-8 days ... I think that did help with the pain/swelling.
Feel better ...
Thinking about you and hope you get to feeling better really soon. How is the swelling?
ReplyDeleteHugs!
My swelling is still like a balloon. I think my face is going to pop! I will use more ice today. I used heat last night because of the pain. I think it helped a little. My jaws ache and my face hurts. I hope to feel better soon. Thank you all for the help.
ReplyDeleteHi Rita! I just got back too - updated blog. Am very lucky, pain is just minimal, more discomfort - I am on the equivalent of Tylenol, and Diclofenac - dunno what you guys call it, it's an anti-inflammatory pain med, a bit like ibuprofen? I only used ice for the first 18 hours or so, but might try some heat packs later to get the swelling down as my face feels a bit tight.. Hang in there, will get better! xxx
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that you are now home. There are some comforts in the hospital that I missed. But nothing is better than healing at home. Hope you feel better!
